Hi!I’m Ms. Sandra Ducote and I teach gifted and great scholars geometry. This will be my 40th year in education.I am still in business because I love children and teaching.I thoroughly enjoy the interaction with students and the challenges they face in geometry.Geometry is taught to help students approach problems in a logical, orderly fashion. It is probably one of the most difficult subjects the student will take in high school.Parental supervision would probably be advised.
I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Southwester Louisiana (Now ULL), my master’s degree from NichollsStateUniversity, and am highly qualified and gifted certified.I have taught subjects from seventh grade math to pre-calculus during my career, but my passion is geometry, which I have taught for the last twenty-three years.
Geometry is a difficult subject requiring students study daily and keep up with assigned work.It is very easy to get behind and very, very difficult to catch up.I tutor in the morning from 6:40 to 7:10.Students just need to come up with questions on homework or work they were unable to complete. I do demand a lot of students and am willing to work with them.
I do like to keep in touch with parents. If students fail to do assigned work I will make an effort to work with the student. If students still do not do assigned work I will get in touch with parents. It is easiest by email, so I will gather email addresses at open house. If I receive no response to emails or parents have no internet access, I will call during school hours.
