High School Award

Congratulations again!  McKinley High won the 2009 Siemens AP High School Award!  Only a very select group of high schools in Louisiana is invited to apply for this award.  It is based on the students’ participation and performance in AP courses in math, science, and technology.  A $1,000 award and plaque is given to one high school from every state for providing students opportunities to participate in and succeed in AP math and science courses.  McKinley’s highly qualified and gifted certified teachers instruct Advanced Placement courses in math, science, social studies, and English.  Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Chemistry AP, Biology AP, Physics AP, Environmental Science AP, and Psychology I and II AP, English III AP, and English IV AP are just a few courses to choose from.   Go, MK, Go!
