Art Show Winners Announced
Nine students from Bob White’s talented
visual art classes at McKinley High exhibited thirteen paintings and drawings in a variety of media in the Baton Rouge Gallery’s Real Life Experience annual juried high school art exhibition. The show, which was on display from March 30th through April 17th 2008, was open to all high school students in East Baton Rouge Parish.
At the opening reception on April 4th the awards were announced. Tremaine Javius won second place for his ink drawing, “Close Up.” Laura Martinez won third place for her oil painting “Olivia and Ecstasy” (pictured above) and Libby Ingram won an honorable mention for her oil painting
“Chorus Line.”

Jackie Walker.
