McKinley High School's Quiz Bowl Team participated at nationals in San Antonio, TX over Memorial Day weekend.  The National Academic Competition sponsored three national tournaments this year, and we were told that we were the only school from Louisiana represented at any of the tournaments.  We won our early rounds of competition and reached the play-offs.  Although eliminated at that point, the team did a wonderful job representing McKinley, EBRPSS, and the State of Louisiana.  
This trip would not have been possible without the support of Mr. Brown and the faculty of McKinley who graciously contributed to make the trip a reality for our team and ensured that it would not be too great a financial burden on each player.  The five members of the team greatly appreciate the McKinley family.
