Welcome to the McKinley High School
Library Media Center
The LMC is open daily from 6:50 am until 2:40 pm.
Students may visit the Library before and after school, and during lunch.
During class time, students visiting the library must have a Library Pass signed by their teacher and a current McKinley High School ID.
Students are expected to use their time for reading, working, and studying and are expected to respect others’ rights to have a quiet library in which to work.
No food or drinks are allowed in the library.
CIRCULATION
Students must have a valid ID in order to check out materials.
Students are responsible for the materials used in the library or checked out.
Students will be charged for any damaged or lost materials.
Books circulate for two weeks. There is a 5¢ fine for each school day an item is late.
Magazines circulate for three days.
Reference and career books circulate overnight $1.00 a day fine for late return.
Students will receive notices about overdue books and fines at regular intervals.
TECHNOLOGY
Computer use is a privilege.
All students must abide by the EBRPSS Computer and Internet Use Policy as stated in the Student Rights & Responsibilities Handbook. Failure to do so will result in a loss of computer privileges.
Students may use the Library Media Center computers for
Accessing the Internet and online subscription databases.
Computers may ONLY be used for school related work.
The EBRP School Board does not allow email, games, purchasing of products/services, or any kind of “chat” (AOL IM, etc.) on school computers.
Use only YOUR login and do NOT share it with any one else.

Do not print directly from the Internet. Please open a Word document and copy and paste your information into the text. Go to View>Header and type in your first and last name.
You may print up to 5 pages WITH PERMISSION from the librarian at no charge if your name is in the Header. There is a 10¢ /page charge for anything over five pages or if you print without permission.
