EXAM EXEMPTIONS:

1.         10th grade students who score at the mastery or advanced level in math, English, social studies or science will be exempt from their final exams in those courses.

2.         Students with perfect attendance will be exempt in the semester exam of their choice. Perfect attendance is defined as no excused or unexcused absences in any class. The only exception is school activities or field trips. First semester perfect attendance begins in August and ends the last day before exams in December. Second semester perfect attendance begins in January and ends the last day before exams in May. Prizes will be awarded the last week of school. Prizes will be gathered and advertised throughout the year. Students will earn tickets for the drawing based on the following scale:

a.         I-LEAP Composite Scores

5 tickets for 50th percentile

6 tickets for 60th percentile

            7 tickets for 70th percentile

            8 tickets for 80th percentile

             9 tickets for 90th percentile

b.         GEE Scores

      5 tickets for scoring Basic (in each test category)

      10 tickets for scoring Mastery

      20 tickets for scoring Advanced

c.         ACT Composite Scores

      5 tickets for a score of 21

      1 additional ticket for every two-point increase above 21

d.         Attendance

      5 per semester for perfect attendance

      5 per semester for no tardies

e.         Behavior

                5 per semester for a clean record (no referrals)

f.          Tutoring

       Any student who is invited to attend and does so will receive tickets for a weekly drawing.
