Introduces….
The Great Scholars Academy
The Gifted and Talented Program is introducing a new academic program for the 2008-2009 school year. It is a rigorous education program designed to parallel the gifted program and replace the Scholastic Academy Program for students entering the 9th grade. It will be called the Great Scholars Academy.
Who qualifies????
Review your child’s most recent standardized test scores. If your child scored at the Mastery or Advanced level in two areas he/she may qualify for the Great Scholars Academy. Great Scholar Academy students take weighted Great Scholars core curriculum courses taught by highly qualified teachers and gifted certified teachers. They must maintain an overall 2.5 GPA to continue in the program.
